Frequently there are problems with phototropic microorganisms. Same holds for photosynthetic pigments and are therefore heavily tinted, appearing as a thick green, olive-green, dark violet, red, salmon-pink or brown suspension. Chlorophyll synthesis is aided by light and, according to the season, may lead to its massive growth (“blooming water”). Moreover, there are fish deseases caused by parasites.Seaweed and bacteria are inactivated, or its growth hampered by means of a high dose of UVC radiation, i.e. without chemicals and without altering water characteristics. In addition, the radiation process breaks seaweed open, then leads to clumpings, so that same may be eliminated by filtering or actually stay so big, that they descend to the bottom.Any of our equipment can be fitted with functions for monitoring operating hours and/or UVC intensity. After a certain number of operating hours the UVC yield starts dropping. This declining output is oftenly not being noticed in due time. Results are turbid, green-colored water, an undesired growth of seaweed and sick fish. Our UVC sensor system indicates, very early and long before these deficiencies and nuisances take place, a decreasing output of UV lamps.
For every UV plant a complete PURION Assembly System is available.
